Did you know you can learn how to improve your intuition?

You can. Intuition is something that anyone can improve, and it’s an essential part of you.

Having a strong intuition can keep you safe and sound. It’s a critical piece of the puzzle that makes up your well-being.

Improve Your Intuition with Meditation

Intuition is an inner knowing, a gut feeling, and it’s something we were all born with, but we’re trained to ignore.

When I was a kid, I always knew things that would happen in advance. My friends would say, “Do you have a feeling?” Before, we did something we were not supposed to.

We always went on my “feeling,” and it never steered us wrong.

One day I had the “feeling” before one of our adventures, and my friend insisted we do it anyway.

We got caught, and both our parents punished us for a month straight. She also got a punch in the face from her stepdad.

I’ll never forget it. We walked into the dark house, and the next thing I knew, she was flying across the room from the force of his fist hitting her face.

Lesson learned, she always listened to my “feeling” after that.

As I grew older, I was shamed by my parents and religion for trusting my intuition.

I was told my intuition was evil and against God. But, we all have intuitive abilities for a reason.

I believed that I was “wrong” and “bad” for a long time. Someone may have shamed you into not following your intuition, or you believed it was wrong too.

But as I got older and learned to think for myself, I realized that intuition is a gift from God and not a curse like people want to tell you.

If you follow your intuition, you are a free thinker and not following the rest of the crowd.

How To Strengthen Your Intuition

When I was a child doing hood stuff, my intuition kept me out of trouble.

Sure, sometimes, what I was doing was not what I was supposed to be doing. But, unfortunately, kids do things that are not smart sometimes.

My intuition always kept me safe.

In college, almost every one of my friends got mugged (my school was in the most dangerous section of the city), but not me.

I never got mugged, and I went out late at night with my roommate alone. I instinctively knew when it was safe and when I wasn’t. That probably wasn’t the best decision, but intuition doesn’t judge. It just tells you things.

My inner knowing kept me safe. How can that be wrong?

No one ever taught me to rely on my gut instinct; I had an inner knowing that never let me down.

Shortly after that, I became afraid of my intuitive ability because of religion, so I shunned it.

Once I shunned my true intuition for a long enough time, it went away. Not completely, it occasionally sent me whispers, but I wouldn’t listen to it.

I felt like I was doing something wrong, and I didn’t want to be bad, so I ignored it.

Eventually, I ignored my intuition so much that something terrible happened, and it blindsided me.

I always felt so safe and protected because I knew that nothing bad would ever happen. I knew that I would know if I was in trouble before it happened.

Not that time. I ignored my intuition for so long I was now basically on my own.

Even though it may sound simple, I never put two and two together until a few years later that the reason something terrible happened was that I snuffed out my intuitive abilities.

So now, I will never allow anyone or anything to shame me from listening to my intuition.

And, now that I’ve learned to strengthen my intuition, it’s stronger than ever.

Before you can have strong intuition, you can start out small.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. The same thing is true for strengthening your intuition.

The more you do something, the better you get at it.

You can practice small things that add up to big things.

Different people have different signals and can receive intuitive messages in other ways, such as:

  • An inner voice
  • A feeling
  • An inner knowing
  • A physical sensation

I often hear words but not with a sound. Your intuition can act as an inner voice, but you may or may not hear actual words.

Your inner voice can speak a voiceless word, or in a terrible situation, you may hear the word as if someone is speaking.

We have all heard stories about people who heard a voice tell them to get out or something similar when in a bad situation.

I’m not really sure how this mystery works, but your mind can give you exactly what you need in a situation. Sometimes it may be an audible voice.

There are advantages to listening to your intuition. It could be for wisdom, inner guidance, safety, and even money-making opportunities.

Your subconscious mind wants you to be protected. So using your intuition, you can sense negative energy, and you will know what to do and, more importantly, like in my case when I was a kid, what not to do.

The number one way to strengthen your intuition is to listen to it. You may have a hunch or an instinctive feeling about something.

When you have those feelings, please don’t ignore them. The more you listen to your intuition, the stronger it becomes.

How To Improve Your Intuition With Meditation

Meditation can help you get quiet and become more in tune with your spiritual self.

When you are busy and experiencing too much noise all the time, you will never get a chance to get in touch with your higher self.

Meditation can help you slow down and quiet the logical mind so that you can listen to your intuition.

Once you have gotten quiet, that can carry over to the rest of your day, and you will become more in touch with your intuition.

A lot of your intuition takes place in the gut. So that’s why it’s called a “gut feeling.”

Eating garbage foods will hinder your intuition. It will confuse the gut, and it can mess with your internal compass.

Light foods that nourish your body can help you get more in touch with your intuition.

Pay attention to what your gut feeling is. If you have a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach, don’t ignore it.

Oracle cards are a tool you can use to improve your intuition.

Oracle cards are everywhere. You ask a question and then pick a card. You can even pick as many cards as you are intuitively led to pick.

Please read the message on the card and see how it answers your question.

Oracle cards are a simple tool that you can use to learn how to improve your intuition. You can even ask that question to the cards. For example, “How can I improve my intuition?” and see what answer you get.

Somehow oracle cards always seem to answer your question beautifully and intuitively.

There are so many beautiful decks out there, such as Crystal Oracle Cards and Starseed Oracle Cards.

I love to use muscle testing. Years ago, my chiropractor taught me how to use muscle testing to find weak spots in my body and choose vitamins and supplements.

Your muscles know the answers to the questions you have. You can ask your body anything, and you can do it in a variety of ways.

There is one caveat, you can only ask a yes or no question. This is because your body can’t answer in sentences or words, but it can respond to yes or no questions.

You can use your fingers to muscle test. First, ask a question that you know the answer to is yes. Next, see if it’s easy to separate your fingers or difficult. Then ask a question that you know the answer is no, and do the same thing.

You can hold out your arm straight and have someone gently press it down. This is how you can test if something is good or bad for you. If it makes you strong, it’s good. If it makes you weak, it’s not.

Use a pendulum. I like to use the pendulum to do muscle tests. Like when you did the finger muscle test, you ask a question that you know the answer to is yes. Then, see which direction the pendulum swings. If it swings front to back or side to side.

Next, ask a question that you know the answer is no. Then, see which direction the pendulum swings.

When I use a pendulum, I am asking myself the question, and my muscles dictate which direction it swings. This is a great way to hone your intuition and get answers to questions from yourself.

A knee-jerk reaction is a reaction you have to something when it happens. You don’t think about it. You just react. That reaction is your intuition telling you what to do.

What is the first answer that pops into your mind when you ask yourself a question? Don’t think, just answer quickly.

Your first reaction to anything is your “knee-jerk reaction.”

How To Improve Your Intuition Through Dreams

Dreams can be a great way to strengthen your intuition. You can keep a dream journal and see what themes keep appearing in your dreams.

Our dreams can tell us of the future, they can warn us about something or someone that may be bad for us, and they can help us understand our own thoughts and feelings.

The more you record your dreams, the more dreams you will have. If you brush off your dreams, you probably won’t remember them, and they won’t be as useful to you.

Your intuition doesn’t work alone. You are there to help guide it.

Once, I was in Athens with some friends, and no one was paying attention to anything. Except me.

I saw two men who were obviously looking to pickpocket, and no one even noticed. So I had to point it out and ask we cross the street away from them.

I could feel the evil from these guys the minute they turned the corner.

They stole a cab driver’s cell phone, and he never even noticed. It was crazy how easy a target everyone was to them on the streets. It was like the twilight zone.

I shouted to the cab driver, “Your phone, your phone, they are taking your phone!” But he didn’t speak English, and I didn’t speak Greek, so they took off with it.

Sure, my intuition told me that these guys were dangerous, but I was paying attention. Paying attention to your surroundings will help you improve your intuition because you are ready and waiting for signals.

Not only can you improve your intuition, but you need to improve it.

Trusting your intuition is so important, and you never know when your life will depend on it. So don’t ever let anyone ever take that away from you.
